PCTM Supports Local Math Contests

The PCTM works to encourage the development of local Math contests, and has actively supported these contests financially through grants.

Six grants were awarded to six contest sponsors for 2012. These include the Math Council of Western Pennsylvania, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Harrisburg Area Community College, the Lock Haven Math Contest, the Shippensburg Math/Computer Science Contest, and the Pennsylvania Mathcounts competition.

If you are interested in requesting financial support for your contest for the coming year, please download and complete this form and submit to PCTM president by February 1, 2013. The requests will be considered at the PCTM February meeting and grant recipients will be notified by March of that year. The person making the request for financial support for the organization must be an active member of PCTM.
